Art Competition
Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation, as well as in the First District.
The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in the First District. The winning artwork will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page. The runner up of the Congressional Art Competition will have their art displayed in the District Office in Ogden, Utah.
The Congressional Art Competition for the First District will be selected during the Annual Utah All-State High School Art Show at the Springville Museum of Art. For more information, contact your high school art teacher or the Springville Museum of Art. For any questions, contact the District Office at 801-625-0107.
